This piece was created from a vintage 3 pane window sash with an interesting patterned privacy glass. The unique glass has a pebble like appearace to it. The frame has been refinished with dark stain, which has absorbed unevenly in some areas adding character. The inside edge of the frame has white paint on it that has been coated with stain. There is also some white paint on the back side of the glass, which shows through a bit from the front (appears more prominent in photos due to the camera flash). Vintage hardware has been polished & attached to complement this piece. The design was inspired by the Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. 1843 is the year the story was written; the address on the window is fictional - but chosen to reflect an appropriate address for the story's setting in London, England. This piece hangs flush on your wall using a keyhole channel routed into the back of the frame. Display over your mantle in December to bring old-world ambience to your holidays! 23.75" tall by 23.25" wide.
