This unique bathroom organizer was created from a section of a vintage door, vintage faucet, and bicycle basket. The original paint on the door section was carefully sanded to reveal a color combination of putty gray and a warmer beige, along with some areas of exposed wood. Hand painted lettering, in black & white, reads "Apothecary on Main St.". Numbers are also painted along the bottom edge above each hook. The design was meant to evoke the feel of small town apothecaries 200 years ago in early America. At this time, many small towns had an apothecary shop - which sold home remedies and the medicines of the day along with soda fountain items and other sundries.
The basket originally came from the front of a bicycle. It is 13.5" wide (across the top), 10" tall, and roughly 6.5" deep (across the top). It is large enough to hold 4-6 hand towels (rolled up), or two large bath sheets. Photo above shows two average size hand towels and one average bath towel rolled up in the basket.
The porcelain faucet has a built in soap dish, and stem that still swivels 180 degrees. The handles (hot & cold) also still turn 90 degrees. The age of this faucet is unknown, but the bottom of the faucet is stamped "Patented - The Morgan Bronze Co." The porcelain parts appear to be hand made, as they are not completely symmetrical. The faucet has been cleaned, however there are still some surface stains and calcified areas. Along the bottom edge of this piece, three schoolhouse style double hooks are also mounted.

Hangs using 2 keyhole slots routed into the back side. Measures 27.25" wide by 42" tall; roughly 10" projection from the wall (at the tip of the faucet stem when perpendicular).
This piece ships in 2 boxes with some minor assembly required. The basket and porcelain "shell" of the faucet will be removed for shipping; both easily reattach with simple screw on hardware (instructions included).
