This piece was created from a vintage window sash with textured privacy glass. The glass has a mottled texture on the back side that almost resembles frost or ice. The front side is smooth, but has pronounced waviness when viewed from an angle. The frame has been refinished with dark stain. There is, however, some paint around the inside edge of the frame that has been coated with stain - adding to the rustic appeal of this piece. A vintage window handle has been reattached at the bottom. This is a large, heavy window - the patterned glass is thick and heavy. The lettered design was inspired by the classic Christmas movie - It's a Wonderful Life. The movie was released in 1946; the address is fictional, but appropriate for the setting of the movie in the small town of Bedford Falls. Hang this piece above your mantle to add vintage charm to your holidays! Roughly 24.75" tall x 36" wide; hangs using keyhole slots routed into the back side of the frame.
