For additional photos - see the link at the bottom. This special edition piece was created from a vintage French door. The glass panes have been removed, and replace with mirror that has been antiqued to look old. The wood has been refinished with a dark stain. Five hooks have been mounted to hold coats, bags, etc. The hooks have been created from vintage doorknobs and arms from 2 different light fixtures. There are 2 different styles of hooks - 3 of one style, 2 of the other. The lettered design was inspired by the look & feel of this coat rack, perhaps something that may have been found at a small chain of European inns. The "Auberge sur la Moselle" is a fictional inn with 2 locations, in Thionville, France and Remich, Luxembourg. The Moselle is a river that runs between France & Luxembourg; Thionville & Remich are small towns located along this river. (Thus the name of the inn and two locations painted onto the glass - top row, middle 3 panes). The bottom row of panes has been painted with numbers. This is a truly unique piece that will add European style to your entryway or foyer. The hooks are sturdy enough to hold coats and bags. Hangs using a French cleat (provided). Measures 27.5" tall by 76.5" wide; projects rougly 5.5" from the wall.
