This piece was created from a salvaged window sash.  The frame has been carefully sanded to reveal the current color combination of soft white, ivory, beige, sage green, and some raw wood.  Displayed beneath the glass is a vintage 1892 map of France.  The map is actually 2 pages from an old atlas, and has a wonderful aged quality & sepia tone.  Above and beneath the map is a border of rustic burlap.  Hand painted onto the glass are the following French cities:  Paris, Versailles, Le Mans, Cognac, Bordeaux, Dijon, Limoges, Nice, and Marseille.  A great piece for the lover of all things French!  19.75" tall x 24" wide.
