This piece was created from a recessed panel section of a vintage door. The original paint finish, which appears to have been a faux woodgrain look, has been carefully sanded to reveal the current color combination of caramel brown, beige, dark brown, and some raw wood. This coat rack has a ton of character, including a large hole where the doorknob lockset used to be mounted at bottom right- this hole does not interfere with the structural integrity of the coat rack or doorknob "hook". "Jardin de Marseilles - Concierge" has been painted in dark brown. The finish has been sealed with a clear coat. 3 vintage metal knobs and 2 vintage glass doorknobs have been attached for "hangables", along with vintage brass label holders for each knob. Label holders currently hold cards with a number for each knob, but can be easily removed & replaced with names, initials, etc. Hangs with 2 keyhole slots routed into the back (32" apart). 42" wide x ~16" tall.
