This piece was created from a vintage window sash with starburst pattern privacy glass. The frame has been refinished with dark stain. There is some haze on the back side of the glass - resulting from this window's age & years of patina. However, this haze is made to appear more prominent by the camera flash while taking these photos. The lettered design was inspired by the classic Christmas story - Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The story was written in 1843 - therefore, this year was used on the window as the date Scrooge & Marley Accounting firm was established. The address is fictional, but appropriate for the setting of the story in London, England. Hang this piece above your mantle to add vintage charm to your holidays! 28" wide x 21.25" tall; hangs using a keyhole slot routed into the back side of the frame.
