This piece was created from a vintage window sash.  The frame has been painted white, and the black magnetic chalkboard material is a factory made, porcelain coated steel (see link below for more info on the chalkboard materia).  The word "Messages" has been painted in white at the top.  A vintage hinge holds a magnetic eraser (included), and a vintage hat clip holds your piece of chalk.  22" tall x 40" wide
